Maxel Rage Pro 90 Reel (RH)

The Maxel Rage Pro 90 is built for one fishery: Southern California bluefin. When you're dropping 300–400g jigs in 600 feet of water off San Diego and a 200 lb fish eats on the way down, you need a reel that can absorb the initial run, hold drag pressure on a long fight, and not blow up in the process. The Rage Pro 90 is that reel.

The Carbon Dual Drag System delivers a max drag of 33 lbs with a gradual cam that gives you smooth, precise control as you increase pressure mid-fight. There's no sudden jump from feather-light to locked down — just a steady, predictable ramp that lets you push hard without breaking off. The full metal body holds its tolerances under load so the frame doesn't flex when a big bluefin makes its run.

The 6.2:1 gear ratio is fast enough to keep up with a high-pitch jigging cadence but has the torque to gain line on a fish that doesn't want to come up. Six stainless steel bearings plus one keep everything smooth from the first drop to the last crank. Machined aluminum handle with an EVA knob gives you grip when your hands are wet and the fish is still green.
