BEAT Squama

The Squama is a slow jig built around surface texture. Its body is precision-engraved with a scale pattern — "squama" is Latin for scale — that breaks up the jig's silhouette and creates a layered light effect as it moves through the water. Rather than producing a single bright flash, the engraving scatters light in multiple directions at once, which looks more like a school baitfish than a solid chrome lure.

The body profile is optimized for hang time. On the fall, the Squama drifts slowly and stays level, giving bottom-oriented fish time to rise up and eat before the jig hits the bottom. On the jerk it rolls and kicks, then re-levels itself quickly — the kind of subtle, instinctive action that close-range fish respond to without getting spooked.

Available in two colorways: Red Black for contrast and visibility, and Squid for a darker, more naturalistic presentation in clear water.
